Compensation Range: $30.87 - $36.13/hour
Position Summary:
ErinoakKids is seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill a position as Speech-Language Therapy Assistant. Under the direction of a Speech Language Pathologist, the Speech-Language Therapy Assistant will assist in providing therapy programs to children in school (SBRS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group therapy for students who present with speech, voice, or fluency disorders under the direction of the SBRS SLP.
- Working collaboratively with the SBRS SLP and school team to determine a service delivery plan for each student.
- In collaboration with the SBRS SLP, manage an assigned case load and contribute to the quality of care to clients.
- Documentation of care.
- Liaising with the SBRS SLP, school team and parents to book appointments.
- Maintain regular contact with client families and keep them informed of treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma or equivalent;
- Clinical experience working with children with a wide range of speech and language difficulties;
- Minimum two years of clinical experience working with school age students preferred;
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;
- Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting;
- Bilingualism is an asset;
- Current C.P.R. and First Aid;
- Travel is a requirement for the SBRS role;
- Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle.
